Job summary

Acelero Learning Camden Philadelphia is seeking an Operations & Facilities Coordinator to oversee day-to-day facility operations, supervise the facilities team across Head Start sites, and ensure safe, compliant learning environments for children, families, and staff.

You’ll perform hands-on maintenance, manage work orders, coordinate vendors, and lead emergency and safety protocols with a focus on efficiency and safety standards. Local travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Proven supervisory experience leading facilities or operational staff across multiple sites.
• Hands-on facilities maintenance experience (basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC).
• Experience using databases; ticketing portal or scheduling software preferred.
• CPSI certification preferred but not required.
• Travel up to 10% for work-related meetings and functions.
• Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the facilities and maintenance team across multiple Head Start locations to maintain safety and operational standards.
• Perform routine, preventative, and minor repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC) as needed.
• Monitor and prioritize work orders, assign tasks, and track through completion.
• Coordinate external vendors/contractors for repairs and services with quality and compliance.
• Lead emergency and safety protocols across sites and coordinate with local authorities as needed.
• Oversee fleet operations, registrations, inspections, and insurance documents.
• Manage inventory, procurement, and expense reporting for janitorial and building supplies.
• Partner with Director of Operations to implement procedures and strategic initiatives.
