Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a dependable Maintenance Coordinator to oversee facility and property maintenance across multiple agency locations in Ocean County. This full-time role ensures buildings and grounds stay safe and well-maintained through proactive coordination and staff supervision.

The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to manage diverse facility projects in a fast-paced environment. A valid NJ driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional maintenance or facilities management experience.
• Experience repairing/building systems including carpentry, plumbing, electrical.
• Two+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely.
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems or work orders preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NJ driver’s license in good standing needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee maintenance operations across multiple locations in Ocean County.
• Supervise maintenance personnel and manage task assignments and progress.
• Address routine and advanced maintenance needs for building systems and grounds.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours issues.
• Prepare repair estimates, process invoices, and help coordinate larger projects.
• Oversee landscaping and exterior property maintenance for clean, safe facilities.
• Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting on appliances, furniture, and office equipment.
• Maintain high level of customer service with staff, vendors, and programs.
