Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Multisite Environmental Manager within Environmental Assurance and Protection to lead multi-site environmental programs and ensure compliance across local, state, and federal regulations in California.

The role interfaces with engineering, construction, and operations to foster an environmentally responsible culture while managing regulatory agency interactions, audits, and performance metrics across sites in Milpitas and surrounding regions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of compliance program management or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years of EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements.
• Professional auditing qualification or similar risk/compliance credentials.
• Experience with SQL and Excel.
• Experience with California environmental regulations (CARB, SCAQMD, CalRecycle, SWRCB).

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee local, state, and federal environmental regulations and Amazon policy.
• Develop strategic programs by integrating with engineering, construction, and operations; drive an environmentally responsible culture.
• Lead regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and processing, and introduce new processes and technologies.
• Ensure work by contractors, consultants, and employees complies with Amazon standards.
• Drive environmental metrics and conduct audits for continuous improvement.
• Represent Amazon at governmental levels and build stakeholder relationships.
