Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Site Environmental Program Manager to support AWS Manufacturing Operations and Transportation Operations at the DFW/Northlake facility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software).
• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, or equivalent.
• Experience with environmental regulations.
• 5+ years of regulatory and risk management experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the environmental compliance program for the DFW/Northlake MOTO site from pre-construction activation through full operational steady-state.
• Champion environmental responsibility within DFW/Northlake operations and advocate for best-in-class environmental practices across the Manufacturing program.
• Support leadership efforts and contribute to continuous improvement of site-level environmental programs, ensuring the program evolves to meet changing organizational needs and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the dedicated environmental owner for Manufacturing site activation at DFW/Northlake, coordinating all environmental workstreams from pre-construction through operational readiness.
• Performing due diligence and permitting for new manufacturing facilities.
• Develop new compliance programs for first of a kind operational processes.
• Manage and oversee compliance with environmental regulations and Amazon policy;
• Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization;
• Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards;
• Develop environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance;
• Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement;
• Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently;
• Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company;
• Build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately;
• Assist in time-critical report submission to various governmental agencies;
• Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective action.
