Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Regional Environmental Manager within the Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) team. You will lead a field team across sites to ensure regulatory compliance, prioritize improvements, and drive conformance through program controllership and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of conducting workplace risk investigations.
• Experience building and managing a high-performing team of direct reports.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive improvements.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field.

Responsibilities

• Drive environmental regulatory compliance across sites in the region.
• Translate programs and frameworks into regional execution for sites.
• Manage team's resource allocation and input to annual operating plans.
• Operate program controllership mechanisms to drive speed, quality, and accountability.
• Communicate compliance status and risks to senior leaders and partners.
• Partner with Legal, regulators, consultants, and tech teams to resolve barriers.
• Track region against KPI and compliance metrics and report progress.
• Lead talent management lifecycle including hiring and development planning.
• Oversee work by contractors and vendors with audits and governance.
• Exercise independent judgment in ambiguous regulatory environments.
• Embed environmental compliance into day-to-day site operations.
• Travel up to 25-50% of the time.
