Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Plant Mechanic/Fabricator to maintain and service asphalt production facilities across East Tennessee. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, fabricate components, and support preventative maintenance at up to eight locations.

Strong welding and fabrication skills are essential, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial setting. The role requires traveling to multiple plants, reading blueprints, and ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of three years of industrial maintenance, plant maintenance, fabrication, or related experience preferred.
• Experience in asphalt, aggregate, mining, construction materials, or heavy industrial operations is preferred.
• Proficient in welding and metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, welders, torches, and hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to travel throughout East Tennessee and report to any assigned asphalt plant location.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on asphalt plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, drag slats, burners, drum mixers, motors, gearboxes, screens, pumps, and related plant systems.
• Fabricate, modify, and install steel components, guards, chutes, hoppers, catwalks, and structural supports.
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and metal fabrication using a variety of tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Coordinate with plant management to schedule repairs and minimize production downtime.
• Travel regularly to support asphalt plants throughout East Tennessee.
