Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to support maintenance across our quarry network.

You will travel to nearby sites to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of heavy equipment essential to aggregate production. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a safety-first mindset, 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, and the ability to read technical manuals and repair documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with loaders, excavators, haul trucks, crushers, screens and conveyors.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel across East Tennessee.
• MSHA certification or ability to obtain certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and quarry machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services on mobile and stationary equipment.
• Repair engines, hydraulics, drivetrains, transmissions, brakes, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct equipment inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and service manuals to identify and resolve issues.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with quarry management to schedule repairs and minimize disruptions.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance at various locations.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Follow safety policies and MSHA requirements.
