Job summary

Jones Bros. Contractors, LLC, a leading asphalt and aggregate producer in Middle Tennessee, seeks a versatile Maintenance Technician. This traveling, hands-on role supports safe, reliable operation of plants by performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment.

The ideal candidate will read manuals and schematics, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and work with plant personnel to minimize downtime. Safety and travel expectations apply; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training considered.
• Industrial, heavy equipment, plant maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of asphalt/aggregate operations preferred.
• CDL Class B preferred and valid driver license.
• Willingness to travel between locations in Middle Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair asphalt plant and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and component replacement to reduce downtime.
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting of motors, wiring and control circuits.
• Read manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics to support repairs.
• Repair or replace worn components and perform basic fabrication as needed.
• Support start-up/shutdown and coordinate repairs with plant personnel.
• Follow lockout/tagout and maintain safe working conditions.
• Travel between Jones Bros facilities based on maintenance needs.
