Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Topeka, KS is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians and manage a proactive maintenance program for light to heavy vehicles. You will oversee two shops in Topeka and Lenexa, KS, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years in fleet maintenance or operations and 5–8 years of direct management. Strong DOT knowledge, leadership, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years in fleet maintenance or operations.
• 5–8 years of direct management experience.
• Experience with heavy vehicles considered a plus.
• Strong understanding of DOT rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop employees.
• Monitor performance and be accessible across the shop.
• Oversee multiple shop operations (Topeka & Lenexa).
• Plan daily manpower to meet workload.
• Provide support on equipment issues and cost efficiencies.
• Handle payroll approvals and compliance documentation.
• Interview and hire for shop positions.
