Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to guide a team of technicians and ensure a rigorous preventative maintenance program for various vehicle types. This remote-based role travels to oversee multiple sites and optimize operations, safety, and costs.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of direct management experience in fleet maintenance, a strong DOT knowledge base, and proven leadership and communication skills. Travel and administration are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years in fleet maintenance or operations and 5–8 years of direct management experience.
• Prior technician or mechanic background is preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to manage multiple shops.

Responsibilities

• Lead, educate and develop employees across locations.
• Monitor performance and be accessible to all shop areas.
• Oversee multiple shop operations and plan daily manpower.
• Support operations on equipment issues and cost improvement.
• Perform payroll approval and maintain compliance documentation.
• Ensure safe working conditions and communicate with clients.
