Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians in a robust maintenance program for light/medium duty vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and cost control while coordinating across shop locations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in fleet maintenance or operations and 5–8 years in direct management, with strong communication and DOT knowledge. Travel to multiple shops may be required; competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in fleet maintenance/operations.
• 5–8 years of direct management experience.
• Previous technician/mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of light/medium duty vehicle repair.
• Familiarity with DOT rules and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and fleet management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop technicians and shop staff.
• Manage daily fleet maintenance operations.
• Plan manpower to meet workload.
• Support operations team with equipment issues.
• Monitor costs and drive efficiency improvements.
• Handle payroll approvals and compliance documentation.
• Hire for shop positions and ensure safe working conditions.
• Communicate with clients to align needs and operations.
• Oversee multiple shop locations as needed.
• Ensure DOT compliance and company policies are followed.
