Job summary

Hillside Investments seeks a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support accounting for commercial property management, development, and construction. You will enter accounts payable invoices and accounts receivable charges, maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end close across multiple properties and entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Two or more years of accounting experience with property management or real estate accounting preferred.
• Experience using Yardi and Foundation for AP/AR entry.
• Hands-on experience entering vendor invoices, tenant charges, payments, and adjustments.
• Knowledge of GAAP and strong Excel skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple properties and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Enter vendor invoices into Yardi and Foundation with accurate coding.
• Verify documentation and approvals before processing invoices.
• Identify duplicates, resolve discrepancies, and maintain vendor records.
• Assist with payments and reconcile vendor statements.
• Enter tenant charges, CAM charges, reimbursements, and AR billings.
• Record tenant payments and other receipts to appropriate accounts.
• Post adjustments and credits as approved.
• Review AR aging and coordinate with property managers on balances.
