Job summary

Hillwood Communities, a premier real estate developer in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Staff Accountant. This role spans accounts payable, project accounting, and corporate accounting functions, supporting active development projects from start to finish.

You will own vendor management, perform month-end close, prepare journal entries, and assist with financial reporting for multiple development endeavors. A strong GAAP background and ERP experience are essential for success in this fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 2+ years in accounts payable and/or project accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred).
• Real estate, land development, or construction accounting background beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage accounts payable and development pay apps with correct project coding.
• Own and execute weekly payment runs and vendor setup, including ACH enrollment.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and cost tracking for projects.
• Prepare loan draw requests and capital calls; assist with GAAP reporting.
