The Senior Accountant will own the month-end close for properties and holding entities, review external financials, manage debt and lease-related accounting, and support audits and investor reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in real estate.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with full-cycle close, account reconciliations and multi-entity accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and building supporting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and quarter-end close for properties and holding entities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review third-party property management financials and reconcile to the general ledger.
• Account for property-level debt, including interest, principal, reserves and loan costs, and prepare lender reporting.
• Account for lease-related items: straight-line rent, tenant improvements and leasing commissions.
• Prepare schedules and support for annual audits and liaise with auditors.
• Support capital calls, distributions and investor reporting.
• Assist with acquisition/disposition support, tax workpapers and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and quarter-end close for assigned properties and holding entities, including journal entries, accruals, intercompany activity and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review third-party property management financials and reconcile them to the general ledger.
• Account for property-level debt, including interest, principal, reserves and loan costs, and prepare lender reporting and covenant compliance calculations.
• Account for lease-related items, including straight-line rent, tenant improvements, leasing commissions and free rent.
• Prepare schedules and support for annual audits and serve as a point of contact for auditors.
• Support the Fund Controller with capital calls, distributions and quarterly investor reporting.
• Other duties as assigned, including acquisition and disposition support, tax workpapers and process improvements.
