Job summary

Pennrose is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance staff across properties and ensure timely repairs, safety, and cleanliness in our apartment communities.

You will lead a team, coordinate with the Property Manager, manage make-ready processes, and sustain preventive maintenance programs while meeting budgets and regulatory requirements. Travel between properties is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED - technical training certifications a plus
• Three years of oversight of Maintenance Buildings and team members
• Requires a valid driver’s license, an insured vehicle, and the ability to travel between properties
• EPA certification within six months of employment (Pennrose provides this certification)

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance staff; diagnose/repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, and appliances
• Ensure buildings, grounds, common areas, and vacant units are painted, cleaned, and ready per guidelines
• Oversee make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing; schedule vendors and conduct pre-move-out inspections
• Complete monthly Preventative Maintenance per Policy and Procedure Manual
• Prepare for owner, federal, state, and local inspections; maintain logs
• Participate in budget development for repairs and capital expenses
• Hands-on repair and maintenance work; ensure safety and OSHA compliance
• Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and supervisors
• Engage in technical training to maintain and enhance skills
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
