Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced welder capable of certifying on multi-process tubes and proficient in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW to lay out, align and weld components for structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks and pipe according to blueprints.

The role involves following safety rules, selecting pipes and materials, applying welding techniques, and performing maintenance while supporting other mechanics; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Proficient in multiple welding processes and able to certify on tubes.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and metallurgy specs.
• Demonstrates precision and QA-oriented approach to welding.
• Capable of setting up and operating welding equipment per procedures.
• Knowledge of safety rules and PPE for welding environments.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe types/sizes per specifications.
• Plans layouts and welding steps using geometric and metallurgical knowledge.
• Welds joints in various positions per procedures.
• Connects welding equipment and adjusts amperage/voltage as required.
• Maintains weld quality by inspecting bead size and depth.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleanup of tools.
• Assists in lifting, positioning and securing materials during installation.
