Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Pipe Welder Combo for a long-term assignment. The role requires proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW on multi-process pipe, with ability to read blueprints and follow metallurgy specifications.

Responsibilities include laying out and welding piping systems, tanks, and pressure vessels per blueprints; performing welding tests and X-ray quality work as needed. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with pre-employment physical and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment physical and background.
• Must pass welding test.
• Experience with multi-process pipe welding (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW).
• Familiar with welding symbols and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or other related materials per specifications.
• Plans layouts, assembly and welding, applying knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
• May use Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, Gas-Tungsten Arc, Submerged Arc, or Shielded Metal Arc welding processes.
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components together in various positions.
• Welds piping systems, tanks, and structural shapes per drawings; may tack weld assemblies.
