Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking skilled welders capable of certifying on multi-process pipe welding, including SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW. The role involves laying out, aligning, and welding fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames and tanks, following blueprints and metallurgy.

Responsibilities include selecting materials per specs, planning layouts, applying correct welding techniques, and performing bead inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with SMAW, GTAW and GMAW welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and metallurgy specifications.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe type/size per specifications.
• Lay out, align, and weld components to assemble structures.
• Position welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead angles.
• Operate welding equipment, ensure correct amperage and voltage.
• Inspect bead size and weld requirements; maintain clean work area.
