Kinder’s Meats & Deli & BBQ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep restaurant equipment and facilities running smoothly across multiple store locations in Concord, CA. The role involves troubleshooting, on-site repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and support safe kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel between locations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or handyman work (restaurant or commercial kitchen experience strongly preferred).
Strong working knowledge of back-of-house kitchen equipment and systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
Comfortable handling a wide range of repairs (mechanical, minor electrical, plumbing, etc.).
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs; physical stamina.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair issues across multiple restaurant locations, including kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical, and general facilities.
Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Travel between store locations as needed to complete repairs.
Prioritize urgent issues affecting operations, safety, or customer experience.
Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety protocols.
