Job summary

NationaLease is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee daily operations of three maintenance shop locations, guiding Shop Managers and technicians to deliver high-quality service. You will manage budgets, vendor relationships, and customer interactions while ensuring safety and efficiency across all sites.

The role requires leadership, strong financial acumen, and the ability to coordinate across multiple locations to meet operational goals and service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or fleet management across multiple locations.
• Strong financial management and P&L oversight.
• Experience leading teams and managing hiring and discipline.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance, shop operations, and safety practices.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of three maintenance shop locations.
• Provide leadership to Shop Managers and technicians.
• Fill in for Shop Managers during vacations to ensure continuity.
• Coordinate vacation coverage planning across all shop locations.
• Audit, review, and close work orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage and maintain profit and loss (P&L) statements for all shop operations.
• Oversee timesheet approvals and employee time-off requests.
• Develop equipment needs projections and budget planning.
• Facilitate the sale of surplus or retired equipment.
• Interview, hire, and onboard qualified mechanics and technicians.
• Administer disciplinary actions and terminations as needed.
• Support Shop Managers in performance management and employee relations.
• Develop and implement technician training programs.
• Plan and coordinate ongoing education and skill development.
• Identify gaps in technical skills and ensure training aligns with operational needs.
• Purchase and manage shop tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure all locations are properly equipped to operate efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle management of tools and assets.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of outsourced services.
