Job summary

Gateway at Ellington is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a multi-family property in Corpus Christi, TX. You will lead the maintenance team, supervise daily work, perform hands-on repairs and ensure quality upkeep of apartments and common areas.

Responsibilities include inspections, training staff, budgeting with the Property Manager and coordinating preventive maintenance. Must have EPA/CFC cert, valid license, and 3+ years of hands-on experience; after-hours calls expected.

Qualifications

• EPA or CFC Certifiable requirement.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• 3+ years hands-on maintenance in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Able to work after hours and handle emergency calls.
• Pre-Employment Background screen.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance of the community including inspection, repair and general upkeep of apartments and common areas.
• Act as a team leader, delegating, supervising and directing maintenance staff.
• Train and supervise maintenance staff; assist in hiring, training and performance reviews.
• Prepare weekly/monthly status reports and conduct regular community inspections.
• Maintain budget awareness and monitor ledger with Property Manager.
• Perform preventative maintenance and log activities in maintenance records.
• Handle on-call emergency service and coordinate with Property Manager on projects.
• Maintain safe work practices and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Support grounds maintenance and vendor inspections as needed.
