Job summary

Gateway at Ellington in Pensacola, FL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with multi-family experience to lead hands-on maintenance of our community, oversee repairs, and ensure high-quality service requests are completed promptly.

This role offers an hourly pay rate plus quarterly bonuses and monthly commissions, plus benefits including 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and a 50% rent discount at the property you work at.

Qualifications

• EPA or CFC certifiable
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Minimum of three years verifiable hands-on maintenance experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry
• Supervisory experience is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work after hours and respond to emergencies
• Pre-Employment Background screen

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance of the community, including inspections and repairs
• Lead and supervise the maintenance staff, delegating and directing work
• Respond to resident service requests promptly and courteously
• Prepare market-ready apartments (painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs)
• Train and supervise maintenance staff, assist in hiring and reviews
• Perform regular inspections and prepare status reports
• Maintain budget adherence with the Property Manager
• Carry out preventative maintenance and keep maintenance logs
• Handle emergency on-call maintenance as required
