Job summary

Elmington Living is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Hillside Flats in Nashville. You will oversee the maintenance process, order supplies, diagnose issues, and perform service requests while leveraging a strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry background.

Responsibilities include supervising service staff, meeting budgets, coordinating materials, and communicating effectively with residents and team members.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants in HVAC systems.
• HVAC Certification or equivalent validates HVAC-specific skills.
• OSHA 10/30 provides safety knowledge for technical environments.
• CPO certification beneficial for pool maintenance.
• Plumbing or electrical licenses advantageous for broader maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise service staff workflow and delegate workload.
• Meet and exceed budget expectations for expenditures.
• Order supplies, materials, and tools as needed.
• Diagnose problems and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry work.
• Coordinate landscaping and snow/ice removal as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers, even in difficult situations.
• Perform service requests correctly and promptly; document time worked.
• Utilize computers and company software to access email and systems.
• Adhere to Elmington's non-negotiables for work orders and vacant turns.
• Show leadership, forward thinking, and initiative.
