Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Grocery Manager in Denver, Colorado to lead multiple departments including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food and the Beer/Wine category while delivering a superior customer experience in a fast-paced store setting.

You’ll oversee scheduling, coaching, recruiting, and performance reviews, ensuring product freshness, safety compliance, and cost controls, with collaboration from the Store Manager to promote staff growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with 1 year of supervisory experience managing a department within retail or service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to take direction.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward customers.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate staff and manage reports, margins, and goals.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operations of Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, and Beer/Wine.
• Ensure product freshness, proper rotation, and date controls.
• Control costs by monitoring operations to increase profitability; manage labor and shrink.
• Coordinate store readiness for physical inventories and assist in deliveries.
• Manage ordering, sanitation, back-room inventory, and department safety.
• Coach and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and merit decisions.
• Attend in-store meetings; recruit, hire, and promote with Store Manager collaboration.
• Address team member concerns; take corrective actions with HR as needed.
• Create schedules to maximize productivity; communicate standards and product knowledge.
• Lead a team to deliver quality product, service, and customer experience; MOD as needed.
