Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. seeks a Multi-Craft Millwright Foreman to lead hands-on installation, dismantling, and movement of heavy machinery. You will read blueprints, rigging plans, and oversee work to ensure alignment and safe operation on site.

The role requires cross-training across millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, and civil trades, with supervisory responsibilities of a crew of one to twelve. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 4–5 years related experience and/or training.
• Cross-training across multiple trades (millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil).
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, sequence, and assign work based on priority and crew skills.
• Monitor crew performance and productivity.
• Inspect tool and part inventories and site conditions to ensure safe operations.
• Read blueprints and determine installation procedures; dismantle and move machinery as needed.
• Supervise 1–12 employees, mentor to improve job skills, and report issues to supervision.
