Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. in Morristown, TN, seeks a Multi-Craft Millwright Foreman to lead field crews performing installation, dismantling, movement of heavy machinery, and alignment according to blueprints and rigging plans.

The role focuses on hands-on work with oversight of machinery installation and relocation. The position requires supervisory capabilities, safety training, and mentoring across millwright, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal and related trades.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED; or 4–5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Ability to supervise a crew and coordinate work assignments.
Commitment to safety and ability to train others in safety practices.

Responsibilities

Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on priority and equipment.
Monitor employees' work levels and review performance.
Read blueprints and diagnose installation, alignment, and rigging needs.
Dismantle machines and move machinery using hoists, dollies, and forklifts.
Mentor workers and coordinate safety and training initiatives.
