Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Craft Millwright to install, dismantle, or move heavy equipment per layout plans and blueprints. You will be cross-trained across trades such as millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, and sheet metal to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include assembling equipment, aligning machines, constructing foundations, and operating lifts and power tools. A high school diploma or GED and related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with basic blueprint knowledge.
• Cross-training across millwright, pipefitting, welding and related trades.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and layout plans.

Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment per plans.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine procedures.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Construct foundations and set specified clearances between moving parts.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed.
• Collaborate across trades to meet customer job requests.
