Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Craft Millwright Foreman to lead field crews in installation, dismantle, and movement of machinery and heavy equipment per layout plans and drawings.

This hands-on role emphasizes cross-training across millwright, pipefitting, welding and other trades to meet customer needs. You will schedule work, monitor performance, supervise 1–12 staff, read blueprints, and ensure safe operations with rigging and lifting equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4-5 years related experience and/or training.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Cross-training across multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities.
• Monitor employees' work levels and performance.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines and move equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, airbags, and fork trucks.
• Supervise a crew of 1–12 employees and report to supervision.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment; mentor workers.
