Job summary

3M is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician in New Ulm to collaborate with global teams and maintain critical equipment across processes. Candidates should bring either a 2-year technical degree in maintenance or electro-mechanics and/or 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance, with the ability to work rotating shifts.

Starting pay is competitive with shifts and comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401k, vacation, holidays, and parental leave; relocation not authorized.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in maintenance or electro-mechanic field completed before start.
• High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call rotation.
• Two-year degree in Mechatronics, Systems Controls, Fluid Power, or related field with 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong multi-craft aptitude in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work behaviors to avoid injury to self and others.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and determine root causes of failures and eliminate equipment problems.
• Analyze maintenance and equipment performance data to improve reliability, uptime, and product quality.
• Understand electrical power distribution system components and limitations.
• Read engineering drawings and specifications in US customary and SI units.
