Job summary

Danfoss GmbH is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment on-site. The role requires mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and instrumentation proficiency.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while documenting work in CMMS and supporting continuous improvement to reduce downtime. Strong safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

  • Safety-focused maintenance professional with broad mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing multi-discipline equipment
  • Capable of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance

The Impact You'll Make

The MultiCraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment. This position requires proficiency across multiple maintenance disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and basic instrumentation systems. The technician supports safe, dependable, and efficient plant operations through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Install, align, adjust, and maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, compressors, and other industrial equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLC interfaces, sensors, and control devices.

What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with operations personnel to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in emergency maintenance response as needed.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and capital projects.

Mechanical and Electrical

  • Bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, pumpsand conveyors
  • Precision alignment and equipment installation
  • Lubrication and preventive maintenance practices
  • 24VDC to 480VAC systems, motor controls and starters
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Lockout/Tagout procedures

Pneumatic,Hydraulic and Fabrication

  • Repairing cylinders, valves, regulators, pumps and reading fluid power schematics
  • MIG, TIG, and stick welding
  • Basic machining and metal fabrication; cutting, grinding, and fitting materials

Instrumentation & Controls

  • Industrial sensors and transmitters
  • Calibration of instruments and control devices
  • Process control fundamentals.
