Qualifications

Two-year technical degree completed and verified prior to start in a maintenance or electro-mechanic field.
High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate safe work behaviors to avoid injury to self and others.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and determine root causes of failures; eliminate equipment problems.

Read and work to indicated accuracy, specifications, and tolerances as detailed on engineering drawings, machine assembly prints, machine construction prints, blueprints, sketches, equipment manuals, and vendor diagrams, using both U.S. customary and SI (metric) systems of measurements

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Possess or in the last six months of obtaining a two-year technical degree (completed and verified prior to start) in a maintenance or electro-mechanic field
High school diploma/GED (completed prior to start) AND five (5) or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, on-call rotation for weekends and holidays, as needed

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Two-year degree in Mechatronics, Systems Controls, Fluid Power, or equivalent field of study and five years of maintenance experience
A strong multi-craft aptitude in a manufacturing environment
Problem solving/reasoning ability

Pay & Benefits

The starting rate of pay for this position is $36.32 with the potential to reach $40.35. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
