Job summary

Amazon Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Manager of Software Development to lead a team building a multi-agent AI platform that enables designing, composing, and deploying autonomous agents that collaborate with humans to execute complex workflows.

In this role you will own the delivery, mentor engineers, and partner with product and engineering teams to push the boundaries of multi-agent systems in production. The platform is cloud-native and modular, assembled from reusable skills and tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
• Knowledge of the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, reviews, source control, build processes, testing, livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of the multi-agent AI platform and mentor a high-performing team of software developers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering partners to push the boundaries of multi-agent systems in production.
• Drive delivery timelines, architecture decisions, and quality across services and components.
