Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the Specialist AI Tooling engineering team, building AI-native, agentic solutions used by thousands of AWS specialists. You will own production GenAI features, design end-to-end AI systems, and grow a high-impact team at AWS scale.

You will partner with Product, Science, and field leadership to translate problems into engineering deliverables, and shape on-call operational excellence while maintaining a strong hiring bar.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 6+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team building AI-native products powering the AWS specialist ecosystem.
• Architect and ship production agentic AI systems using LLMs, knowledge graphs, RAG, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Own the technical strategy and roadmap across all four products, balancing speed and long-term scalability.
• Partner with Product, Science, and field leadership to translate ambiguous problems into deliverables.
• Drive the evolution of intelligent routing algorithms matching specialist requests to verified experts.
