Job summary

Shoal Creek Elementary School in Conyers, GA is seeking a part-time MTSS - RTI Specialist to coordinate MTSS/RTI processes, monitor student progress, and support teachers with data-driven interventions. The specialist will lead data reviews, plan tiered interventions, and provide coaching to teachers while ensuring district and state requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate and/or educational leadership certification, as required by the district.
• Experience with MTSS/RTI processes, data analysis, and intervention planning.
• Knowledge of academic and behavioral interventions, progress monitoring tools, and special education referral procedures.
• Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze student data and use findings to drive instructional decision-making and student support planning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate MTSS/RTI process, ensuring timely support for students needing interventions.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain student performance data from screenings, progress monitoring, and attendance.
• Conduct data review meetings to determine needs and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Tier I–III interventions to support growth.
• Provide coaching to teachers on intervention strategies and progress monitoring.
• Plan and deliver professional learning sessions on MTSS implementation.
• Facilitate MTSS, SST, and problem-solving team meetings with proper documentation.
• Communicate with families regarding progress and available supports.
• Collaborate with special education staff, school psychologists, counselors, and admins on referrals and evaluations.
• Monitor fidelity of intervention implementation and maintain accurate records.
