The position is hourly, non-exempt, with a 180-day term and involves supervising students, data collection, and collaboration with the MTSS team to support student success.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, 60 college credit hours or passing Missouri paraprofessional test required.
  • Training or experience related to MTSS paraprofessional role preferred.
  • Background check required; strong written, oral, organizational, time management, and computer skills needed.

Responsibilities

  • Participates as an effective team member to support MTSS and behavior management goals.
  • Assists with planning, problem solving and data-informed decisions.
  • Supports the preparation of behavioral resources and data collection.
  • Assist with implementing behavior intervention strategies and monitor student progress.
  • Supervises students during instruction and activities; supports individual and group needs.
  • Implements behavior support plans and maintains professional standards and confidentiality.
  • Performs routine instructional and clerical tasks and uses assistive technology as needed.
  • Participates in MTSS team meetings and crisis prevention training as required.
  • Supervises students in cafeteria, recess, arrival/dismissal as assigned.
  • Works under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to emergencies.
