Job summary

ECU Health Medical Center in North Carolina seeks an MT Supervisor to oversee pathology operations when lab managers are off site. Responsible for staffing, coordination, and quality of service during evening and night shifts, while assisting with education and disaster coordination.

The role requires a CLS/MT degree, ASCP certification, and 4 years in a clinical lab. Excellent benefits, sign-on/relocation options, and a 40-hour week with a 7 on/7 off night schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry is acceptable.
• 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Certification as MLS, BB, C, H or MB by ASCP or other recognized certifying agency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee specimen acquisition, transport, computer staff, and tech areas; monitor staffing and shifts; maintain effective communication across shifts.
• Ensure resources are used efficiently; assist in disaster coordination; monitor safety and enforce policies; aid with personnel evaluation and education.
