Job summary

ECU Health Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Medical Technologist Supervisor to oversee the Department of Pathology during off-site times, acting as General Supervisor per CLIA-88 regulations. Prerequisites include a MLS-related degree and ASCP certification, with 4 years of clinical lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or related science.
• Bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in biology and chemistry accepted.
• 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Certification as MLS, BB, C, H or MB by ASCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise specimen acquisition, transport, and staff; monitor staffing and shifts; ensure effective communication across shifts.
• Coordinate disaster response and safety; assist in education; manage complaints; assist with technical problem resolution.
