Responsibilities

• Handles hazardous materials in accordance with regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Requisitions and maintains inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment for laboratory operations.
• Supervises, trains, and reviews the work of students and lower-level technicians in clinical laboratory work.
• Operates complex specialized laboratory instruments and instructs others in their use.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education/Experience/Certifications To Qualify

• Bachelor's degree and successful completion of a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS) Medical Technologist program, five years' clinical lab experience, or two years' clinical lab experience with Medical Lab Tech (MLT) certification.
• Previous experience as Medical Technologist preferred.
• Medical Technologist (MT) ASCP certification required.
