Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Social Worker (MSW) to conduct biopsychosocial assessments and provide non-clinical interventions across inpatient floors and the emergency department. The role includes crisis support, post-acute placement, and Family Care Conferences to aid discharge planning.

Candidates should have a Master’s in Social Work, 1+ years experience or MSW internship, and may pursue LCSW or Social Work certification.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• 1+ years' experience or MSW Internship required.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred
• Certification in Social Work preferred
• Ability to deliver information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
• Ability to break down data into component parts to analyze and identify underlying issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-clinical, biopsychosocial assessments and interventions for inpatient floors and ED.
• Provide crisis intervention and patient/family interventions and high-risk screening.
• Arrange post-acute care placement and Family Care Conferences for discharge planning.
• Support patient- and family-centered care and promote self-determination.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and private payer regulations and managed-care concepts.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
