Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our MSP team. The role supports Windows Server environments, Microsoft infrastructure services, and critical applications across multiple customer environments.

The ideal candidate has strong on-premises Microsoft experience, troubleshooting and documentation skills, and can collaborate with customers and senior technical staff across cloud and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role in MSP/enterprise.
• Solid Windows Server experience, including AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and group policy.
• Experience with hybrid identity solutions (Entra ID/Azure AD) and virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware).
• Experience with server apps, backups, failover clustering, SQL Server, and IIS.
• Strong scripting, documentation, and customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and support Windows Server environments across multiple MSP customers.
• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Microsoft infrastructure services and related Windows roles.
• Support hybrid identity solutions integrating on-prem AD with Entra ID and sync technologies.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot server apps, middleware, and dependencies.
• Participate in server builds, upgrades, migrations, hardware refreshes, and data center modernization.
• Troubleshoot OS, authentication, app, virtualization, storage, backup, and performance issues; escalate as needed.
• Apply security hardening, patching, and privileged-access controls to ensure secure environments.
• Implement highly available solutions using clustering, load balancing, and DR technologies.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for admin tasks and reporting.
• Document configurations, build procedures, and knowledge base articles; support transitions to operations.
