Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our MSP team.

This role supports the implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of Windows Server environments, Microsoft infrastructure services, and business-critical applications across multiple customer environments. The ideal candidate brings solid on-premises Microsoft experience, practical troubleshooting and documentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with customers and senior technical team members

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Systems Engineer/Infrastructure role within MSP/enterprise
• Solid Windows Server installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Experience with Hyper-V/VMware virtualization and failover clustering
• Experience with PowerShell and scripting for automation
• Ability to document and communicate technical information clearly
• Experience supporting Microsoft server platforms and SQL Server infrastructure
• Experience with on-premises and hybrid identity solutions (Entra ID)

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and support Windows Server environments across multiple MSP customers
• Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft infrastructure services (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
• Support hybrid identity solutions integrating on-premises AD with Entra ID
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot server applications and dependencies
• Participate in server builds, upgrades, migrations, and hardware refreshes
• Troubleshoot OS, authentication, app, virtualization, storage, and backup issues
• Apply security hardening and patching per standards
• Provide on-call support for critical incidents and service restoration
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts and runbooks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
