Job summary

Amgen in Columbia, SC is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for Obesity and Related Conditions. This field-based role reports to the MSL Field Director and focuses on scientific exchange with Opinion Leaders and healthcare providers to advance Amgen's product strategy.

Requirements include Doctorate, or Master’s with 3 years Medical Affairs, or Bachelor’s with 5 years; preferred PhD/MD; strong communication and cardiometabolic knowledge; clinical experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree, or Master’s with 3 years Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor’s with 5 years Medical Affairs experience.
• Preferred qualifications include Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered).
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with physicians and researchers.
• Experience in cardiometabolic and obesity-related conditions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary scientific/clinical resource to Opinion Leaders and other healthcare providers to advance Amgen’s medical strategies.
• Engage with clinical investigators and sites in support of the obesity pipeline.
• Communicate scientific data, outcomes, and economic data to stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in projects and congress activities aligned with MSL strategy.
• Maintain and improve clinical/scientific acumen with current data and trends.
