Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. seeks a Medical Science Liaison (Sr Manager) for CNS. This field-based role engages Key Influencers, Local Practice Leaders, healthcare providers, and patient groups to advance patient outcomes within an ecosystem framework.

The MSL will deliver evidence-based clinical and economic information, collaborate with ecosystem partners, and support trials and education across the CNS portfolio. Up to 70% travel is anticipated.

Qualifications

• MD/DO, PharmD or PhD in life sciences or Master’s degree with equivalent psychiatry or CNS clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical medical affairs or relevant work experience.
• Understanding of health systems and engaging healthcare professionals and decision makers.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of industry dynamics; identify solutions to improve patient outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; capable of leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute clinical and scientific perspectives to local execution plans addressing challenges and opportunities.
• Build and cultivate relationships with key scientific and medical customers and organizations within the territory.
• Develop deep understanding of the ecosystem to align with patient-centric strategy and priorities.
• Provide evidence-based information demonstrating value of products across clinical, economic, and humanistic perspectives.
• Collaborate across matrix teams to shape local medical strategies and ally with regional leadership.
• Support clinical trials activities, health-economic outcomes research, and investigator-sponsored trials.
