Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (Sr Manager) for the CNS portfolio. This field-based role engages Key Influencers and Local Practice Leaders to advance patient outcomes within the ecosystem framework.

The MSL provides clinical, economic, and humanistic information, collaborates with ecosystem partners, and may cover multiple CNS products. Travel up to 70% is expected; living in a key territory city is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/PhD in life sciences with relevant CNS/psychiatry experience.
• Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical medical affairs or related field.
• Understanding how health systems deliver patient care and engage healthcare professionals.
• Strong business acumen; knowledge of market dynamics and value propositions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to lead teams and projects.
• Ability to summarize complex information for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of industry regulatory landscape and compliance.
• Able to work in ambiguous environments undergoing transformation.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and scientific perspectives to local execution plans addressing customer challenges and opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key scientific and medical customers and organizations across the territory.
• Develop deep understanding of the ecosystem to align with patient-centric strategies.
• Serve as a credible source of evidence on clinical, economic, and humanistic value of products.
• Collaborate with matrix teams to execute local medical strategies within timelines.
• Disseminate disease state and healthcare landscape information to field stakeholders.
• Provide clinical and data-driven training for speakers and education efforts.
• Participate in speaker bureau activities to support education needs across the territory.
• Collect and share medical insights to inform evidence generation priorities and decisions.
• Assist with clinical trials planning and operational feedback for site selection and performance.
• Mentor new hires and contribute to professional development across the team.
• Support safety, pharmacovigilance, and medical training for ongoing activities.
