Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. seeks a Medical Science Liaison (Sr Manager) for CNS to provide clinical, scientific, and health economic information within an ecosystem-based model.

The role involves engaging Key Influencers, Local Practice Leaders, and healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes through evidence-based collaboration. The MSL will cover multiple CNS products, contribute to regional medical strategies, and may participate in clinical trials and speaker programs.

Qualifications

• MD/DO, PharmD or PhD in life sciences or Master's degree with equivalent psychiatry or CNS clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical medical affairs or relevant work experience.
• Understanding of health systems and delivery of patient care with healthcare professionals and decision makers.
• Strong business acumen; knowledge of Otsuka's business model and competitors.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; capable of cross-functional work.
• Ability to lead others and project teams strategically.

Responsibilities

• Contributes a clinical and scientific perspective to local execution plans addressing customer challenges and opportunities.
• Builds external relationships with key scientific and medical customers and organizations within the territory.
• Maintains deep understanding of the ecosystem to align with patient-centric strategy and priorities.
• Delivers evidence-based information on clinical, economic, and humanistic value of Otsuka products.
• Mentors peers and supports training across the field medical organization.
• Manages training of speakers and disseminates disease state information to stakeholders.
