Job summary

Herzing University seeks a MS-CMHC Clinical Director to oversee practicum and internship fieldwork, ensuring CACREP alignment and licensing compliance. You will collaborate with program leadership to shape curriculum, assessment, and fieldwork partnerships for student success.

You will coordinate with faculty to supervise fieldwork, maintain policies, and manage site partnerships while advancing accreditation efforts and program quality in a dynamic university environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision required.
• 5 years of experience in higher education.
• Experience with CACREP accreditation.
• Experience in clinical supervision.
• Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or other independent licensure per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to CACREP accreditation with development and review of the fieldwork component for the MS-CMHC program.
• Develop curriculum and assessment plans with the MS-CMHC Program Chair and faculty.
• Develop partnerships with local and regional agencies to identify fieldwork placements for students.
• Create and maintain fieldwork agreements between Herzing University and fieldwork sites.
• Complete components of the accreditation candidacy application related to fieldwork.
• Collaborate on program policies and provide a current MS-CMHC Fieldwork Manual to students.
• Maintain curricular documents related to the MS-CMHC program (catalog, manual, handbook, website, brochures).
• Provide training and ongoing communication to students, practicum/instructor and site supervisors to support high-quality fieldwork.
• Evaluate fieldwork placements for alignment with program and accreditation requirements.
• Oversee student progress and manage academic processes in fieldwork.
• Act as a liaison with state licensing boards.
• Serve on school, college, and university-wide committees.
• All other duties as assigned.
