Job summary

Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting in Duncan, SC, is seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing/MRO Inventory Specialist. You will ensure that parts, materials, and services are available to support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations, and maintain accurate records in our CMMS and SAP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field including purchasing.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal/external contacts.
• Excellent organizational skills to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with computers and manufacturing/CMMS/SAP systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• At least three years purchasing/materials experience including MRO.
• Ability to work with suppliers to meet cost, quality, delivery goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage all MRO inventory including spares, consumables, tools, and IT parts.
• Issue purchase requisitions for maintenance materials.
• Receive items and update CMMS/SAP records.
• Perform cycle counts to keep inventory accuracy above 98%.
• Coordinate vendor service schedules and track usage history.
• Prepare reports on inventory accuracy, stockouts, and vendor performance.
• Identify obsolete parts and negotiate with suppliers.
