Job summary

Magna Mechatronics & Mirrors is seeking a Materials Manager in Duncan, South Carolina. The role directs shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, and production planning to meet customer goals and drive continuous improvement.

You will lead material planning, with APICS preference, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced automotive environment. The position requires a bachelor's degree in material planning or business and 4–6 years of automotive planning experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in material planning or business.
• 4–6 years experience in automotive planning with some supervisory experience preferred.
• APICS preferred.
• Knowledge of MIOSHA laws relating to transportation and lift trucks.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions and complex data.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities of shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, and production control to meet customer goals.
• Develops departmental goals and objectives to align with the business plan.
• Reviews production orders to plan department operations and schedules.
• Develops or revises standard operating procedures and ensures adherence to standards.
• Interacts with other departments regarding issues affecting materials and acts as liaison with customers.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and reports on stock levels and turns.
• Measures vendor and shipping performance and coordinates flow of products through the facility.
• Ensures safety compliance, conducts regular safety inspections, and supports EHS initiatives.
