Job summary

Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting in Duncan, SC is seeking an Inventory/MRO Purchasing Specialist to manage spare parts, materials, and services for safe, reliable manufacturing operations. You will handle requisitions, receipts, cycle counts, and supplier coordination, ensuring data accuracy in CMMS and SAP systems.

You will also lead supplier negotiations, develop cost-effective sourcing strategies, and generate regular reports on stock levels, supplier performance, and procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field including purchasing and/or materials experience.
• Three years’ purchasing and/or materials experience including MRO.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience developing suppliers and negotiating cost/delivery.
• Familiarity with CMMS/SAP systems and purchase processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage all MRO inventory including maintenance/tooling spares and consumables.
• Issue purchase requisitions for maintenance materials.
• Receive incoming items and reconcile with orders.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy >98%.
• Maintain part descriptions and cross-references in CMMS/SAP.
• Coordinate supplier service schedules and track on-time delivery.
• Analyze usage, reorder levels, and obsolescence; adjust as needed.
• Develop reports on inventory accuracy, stockouts, and supplier performance.
• Set up new suppliers and maintain supplier relationships.
