Job summary

Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting is seeking a Purchasing/MRO Inventory Specialist to ensure parts, materials, and services are available for safe, reliable manufacturing operations. You will manage all MRO inventory, requisition materials, and coordinate supplier services while maintaining CMMS and SAP data accuracy.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills, plus experience with purchasing and supplier management in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field including purchasing and/or materials experience.
• Minimum 3 years purchasing and/or materials experience including MRO or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external contacts at all levels.
• Excellent organizational skills to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with PCs and manufacturing systems.
• Experience developing suppliers to meet cost, quality, delivery objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage all MRO inventory including maintenance/tooling spares, consumables, tools, and IT spares.
• Issue purchase requisitions for maintenance materials.
• Receive items from maintenance purchases and other sources.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly/annual cycle counts and maintain accuracy >98%.
• Maintain part descriptions and cross-references in CMMS and SAP.
• Label critical spare parts in CMMS and SAP as needed.
• Maintain min/max/reorder levels in CMMS and SAP.
• Coordinate vendor service schedules for maintenance and repairs.
• Track usage history to identify obsolescence and adjust accordingly.
• Compile reports on inventory accuracy, emergency purchases, stockouts, and on-time delivery.
